During October and November the Banwell Recreation
Ground Trustees carried out a sealed bid tender process to
decide a preferred contractor for the Recreation Ground
Refurbishment.
The tender process is now complete and the
Trustees approved ‘Sutcliff Play’ as the preferred single
source play provider.
The work will include the following:

A toddler play area with a climbing frame, swing and
springer. This area is fenced with seating for adults.

A teen play area which includes a teen multi activity
climbing frame and basket swing.
·
A Multi Use Games Area will also be provided which is
suitable for all ages and sexes.
·
Pathways will link the 3 areas to allow access by all.
Planning have now approved the final discharge
by agreeing the suitability of the play equipment and proposed
locations. The Trustees have approved the contract to
allow Sutcliffe to procure the equipment which will have a 4 – 6
week lead time prior to site mobilisation.
Subject to weather work should commence by Mid
February 2010 and be complete by the end of March.
